What’s In This Course
The Process Safety Revisited E-learning Course includes modules on the following topics:
- Asset Integrity: Scenario where wall thinning is observed in a steam header and the organisation needs to respond based on risk.
- Operational Risk Assessments: Scenario involving an urgent operational response when a critical control must undergo immediate repair through the application of an operational risk assessment.
- Management of Change (MoC): Scenario on applying an MoC process to a plant change amid a “can-do” environment where all ideas are implemented now.
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA): This scenario examines a case where a poorly completed Job Safety Analysis was identified during routine maintenance and explores corrective actions to improve the system.
- Incident Investigations: A scenario focused on a near-miss incident linked to a pump seal failure, used to demonstrate the steps required when conducting an effective incident investigation process.
These modules are designed to prompt you to stop and think about what could happen within your organisation and give you insight on how to move forward.
Who Is It For
The Process Safety Revisited course would be useful for a variety of roles and professions, particularly within industries that handle hazardous materials or complex industrial processes (such as chemical, oil and gas, and manufacturing). Specific roles that would benefit from this course include:
- Process Safety Roles: will benefit from experiencing examples of common process-safety related scenarios that they will support others in navigating, practising the approaches they need to take and identifying considerations that they need to table.
- Frontline Leadership: The course’s focus on Operational Risk Assessments and Incident Investigations will enhance their application of key process safety concepts.
- Engineers: Who are involved in the design, operation, maintenance and modification of processes and who need to understand how to apply process safety management in these topic areas.
- Frontline Personnel (Operations and Maintenance) who use job safety analyses (JSA), have to navigate asset integrity and operations risks that arise in their facility, and need to support incident investigations.

Absolutely! On the product page for each of our courses, you have the option to either purchase an individual licence for yourself or purchase for a group of people. Within this option, you can purchase as many licences as you want, and choose if you would like to enrol yourself. Once the payment has gone through, a new tab will appear in the top bar labeled ‘Group Admin’. From here you can allocate who the licences go to, and also see how far through the course they are. Just make sure that those you enrol in the course check their junk folder for their access links.
Definitely! Just select the group purchase option and increase the number of licences in your basket!
